The golf r steering wheel is designed for Volkswagen Golf Mk7 models from 2015–2019, covering the R-Line, GTI, GTD, R, GTE, e-Golf, Variant/SportWagen, and Alltrack. This is also applicable to those shopping for a vw mk6 gli steering wheel to install as a performance/aftermarket option to the vw mk6, but it is recognized that the vw mk6 Golf Mk7 / Typ AU platform is compatible for this product, but the configuration of the vehicle must be the same. The original steering wheel and vehicle details should be checked before ordering to confirm OEM-compatible installation.

Built Around the Grip

The defining feature of this custom steering wheel is not an additional visual element, but the shape of the grip itself. Ergonomic finger grooves are formed into the rear of the upper grip, creating a natural location for the fingers while the wheel is being handled. The flat-bottom profile and 370 mm diameter complement this structure, giving the Volkswagen steering wheel a purposeful performance-oriented shape.

A Practical Performance Upgrade

For distributors and automotive repair shops, the PDZ-04 offers a different proposition from highly decorative aftermarket steering wheels. Its design stays close to the visual language of the Volkswagen interior while introducing a more deliberately shaped grip and flat-bottom profile.

The restrained black-on-black configuration can also serve as a base for further customization. ArmorKun, as a custom steering wheel manufacturer and supplier, can modify the leather, stitching, colors, materials, and functional modules for different aftermarket programs.

For installation, the existing vehicle configuration should be confirmed before an order is placed. Depending on the specific Golf Mk7 configuration and retained functions, an adapter or additional components may be required. The OEM-compatible designation refers to the intended vehicle application and does not mean every vehicle configuration uses identical mounting or electronic interfaces.

This product is confirmed for Golf Mk7 / Mk7.5 vehicles from 2015–2019 within the listed variants. Although Volkswagen also produces models such as the Beetle and Ghia, compatibility with those vehicles should not be assumed without separate confirmation.
