The series can be configured for a major Mercedes-Benz application, starting with the A-Class, C-Class and C300, E-Class, S-Class, CLA, GLA, GLC, GLE, GLS, G-Class, SL, and AMG applications. This makes the platform ideal for distributors who are looking to supply a Mercedes-Benz carbon fiber steering wheel, a C300 steering wheel, or custom steering wheels for those specific models to a number of Benz passenger-car and SUV models. Fitment must be verified prior to production, and some 2005–2009 Mercedes vehicles might need mounting-base modification during installation.

Built as a Configurable Carbon Series

The BZT-H-06/07 series is intended for buyers who need more flexibility than a single fixed carbon fiber steering wheel specification. In its stock appearance, it presents visible carbon fiber and silver hardware, offering a strong visual connection between the rim, the center trim and the paddle area.

This synchronised silver and carbon finish represents another approach compared to dark AMG-style wheels for a Mercedes-Benz C-Class, CLA, GLA, GLE, GLS or SL. It’s ideal for a Mercedes Benz C300 steering wheel program designed by the distributor to deliver an upgraded premium feature and perception that is still not overpowering when using red accents or electronic displays.

The built-in appearance customization feature also makes it possible to use the same base platform to create the custom carbon fiber steering wheel that can have different leather treatments, stitching colors, centre markers or Alcantara grip sections. This makes the series suitable for wholesalers who wish to create a number of price or style levels from a single base platform.

Instead of a distributor keeping a large number of different Mercedes steering wheel designs, BZT-H-06 and BZT-H-07 would be a foundation from which they could be configured.

Combinations can also be used to give specific markets different variations such as natural carbon and silver for creating a cleaner luxury look, a darker finish for an aggressive look, or Alcantara replacing the standard leather for a motorsport finished specification.

This enables different segments to be distinguished by custom Mercedes steering wheel products without any changes to the product architecture.

Fitment and Installation

Wide mounting compatibility does not mean every Mercedes uses identical hardware. Airbag shape, steering controls, paddle-shift equipment, heating, wiring, trim geometry, and assistance functions can vary between a Mercedes-Benz C, SUV, coupe, or roadster.

For an OEM compatible configuration, distributors and repair shops should provide the exact Mercedes model, production year, and clear photos of the original steering wheel before production. Paddle functionality should also be matched to the vehicle’s existing equipment.

Certain older Benz applications, particularly some 2005–2009 models, may require mounting-base modification. Confirming these details before production improves installation accuracy and helps ensure that the aftermarket wheel integrates correctly with the vehicle while giving the driver a more distinctive surface from which to steer.
