Case study

An Italian auto parts company wanted to create a new aftermarket brand to launch, beginning with the steering wheel from the Porsche.A custom Porsche steering wheel was the starting point for an Italian auto parts company that wanted to develop a new aftermarket brand that would maintain the “Porsche” original look and feel while positioning it at a premium level. That’s what we’ve specialized in for the past 10 years: a custom project from leather wheels to high performance carbon-fiber LED wheels, across a variety of brand models from around the globe. The client contacted us, asked for the entire Porsche product catalog and looked at pricing all of the cars. Then they chose two common model wheels and tested our quality and workmanship. We manufactured them to original-equipment standards, and our stitching, leather wrapping, carbon-fiber texture and built-in functions are all under strict control. Upon receipt of the samples, the client carefully reviewed both the workmanship and quality of the material and concluded straight away that the quality is satisfactory and even good.

After confirming the samples, we came up with the final details: the finish and build of each model, minimum order quantity (MOQ), international logistics and freight, payment terms, lead time, and after-sales support. The client then ordered the first order, 50 custom Porsche steering wheels. The collaboration is still intact, three years later. We have satisfactorily provided them with on time and good quality products and over the years the client’s brand has consolidated its presence in the top tier aftermarket in Italy.
