Design Planning and Material Selection
In this initial stage we concentrate on getting your exact requirements. The performance of the vehicle, the electronic integration we'd like to achieve and taste for the aesthetic are evaluated to create a complete baseline for a customised set-up on the bespoke steering wheel.

Core Manufacturing Process
High end applications result in magnesium cores being produced using the high pressure die casting technique. The molten alloy is poured into precision moulds at high temperature and pressure creating a very complicated, ultra-lightweight and structurally perfect base.
Generally, the aluminum cores are manufactured by cold extrusion casting. The pre-heated billet is pressed with great hydraulic force within a die to form a strong corrosion resistant structural base for mainstream applications at a low cost.
Precision stamping and gas metal arc welding are the processes employed to produce steel cores. This approach is more expensive and robust, suitable for commercial applications and economical projects.
For manufacturing flexibility we have taken the modular design approach. The steering wheel consists of multiple precision-welded structural and functional sub-assemblies, simplifying the process of customizing the steering wheel for low volume production.
Cladding layer fabrication process
Reaction Injection Molding (RIM) is used to make the outer foam layer. Two liquid chemical solutions are combined and added to a hot mould, which causes a quick chemical reaction and expansion creating a one-piece molded shock and ergonomic grip surface.
Master craftsmen do precision hand-stitching to produce premium leather wraps. Pre-cut hides are carefully stretched and double-sewn at the top and bottom using a waxed thread for a perfect and gap free fit and an unprecedented feel.
Special finishes, such as carbon fiber or wood, are applied in a special way. Hand-laid and autoclave-cured for high structural rigidity, carbon fiber is also cut and sealed by laser to provide a lustrous, bespoke luxury and distinction.
